Concrete bases and concrete pours

Level, solid bases for sheds, garden rooms, hot tubs and more.

Freshly poured concrete base in timber shuttering at the end of a garden

Everything you put in the garden is only as good as what it stands on. We prepare and pour concrete bases for sheds, garden rooms, summerhouses, hot tubs, greenhouses, garages and workshops, as well as general concrete pours for paths and hardstanding.

Each base is dug out, given a compacted hardcore sub-base, shuttered to the exact size and set level. Where it's needed we add a damp-proof membrane and steel mesh reinforcement, then pour, tamp and finish the slab so it's ready for your building.

Planning a garden room? Tell your supplier's base dimensions and we'll build to them, including ducting for power and water if you need it.

  • Hot tub base and pergola repair

Gary and the team sorted out a couple of items for us where another contractor had not delivered. They put in a new 2.5m x 2.5m level pad for a hot tub and also re-roofed a bespoke pergola structure with proper joists and felt covering that was left in poor condition by the other party. The team were polite and respectful of the garden and the job completed to a very high standard. I would absolutely recommend and will certainly use again.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How thick should a concrete base be?

It depends on the load. A light shed needs less than a garden room or hot tub. We'll size the slab and sub-base to suit what's going on it.

How long before I can build on it?

Concrete needs time to cure. Light buildings can usually go on after a few days; we'll tell you the right wait for your project.

Can you remove an old base first?

Yes. We break out and clear old slabs or paving before laying the new base.
